  also, I just noticed the title of this thread refers to the Artists category only, I thing the word "The" should be excluded from the Songs category as well.

  This would be huge for me as I access MP3Tunes mostly via my Roku(s) and as it stands, the "T" categories are so slow. No other letters/categories exhibit this behavior and since "T" is also the most heavily populated category (due to "The" being included in the sorting, I can only assume it is due to the category having so much content.

  It should also be possible to enter other words which are ignored for sorting, e.g. for other languages than English.

  We are looking into this. It may be relatively easy to implement via the web player. It may be a little bit more time/effort to implement into the API. But, it totally makes sense.

  I would _LOVE_ to see this feature.

  Most desktop media player sort artists according to their proper name, ignoring the "The" that many artists have (Amarok, WMP, and iTunes do this).

  For example:
  "The Beatles" will be found up near "Beyonce"
